父母政治资本如何影响子女工资溢价:“拼爹”还是“拼搏”?

摘要
既有研究未能有效解释父母政治资本如何影响子女工资溢价,因而未能将其归因于"拼爹"还是"拼搏"。本文基于国际劳工组织实施的"从学校向职场过渡调查"(SWTS)之中国数据,采用剔除样本选择偏误和内生性偏差的区间回归模型对其进行了实证研究。主要发现有:(1)父母政治资本确实促进了子女人力资本积累,在控制家庭规模和父母教育年限后,"官二代"的教育年限比"非官二代"显著高0.42年;(2)"官二代"进而将教育优势转化成了职场优势,获得了5.5%的工资溢价,也即父母政治资本通过子女人力资本的中介作用产生了工资溢价;(3)"官二代"的工资溢价来源于"拼博"积累人力资本而非"拼爹"进入高收入行业。这些发现共同表明:知识改变命运,教育改善人生,教育在我国当代社会阶层分化和流动中起着十分重要的作用;维护教育机会公平,缩小教育差距仍是促进个人向上流动的有效政策手段。
