家庭金融市场参与能改善教育的代际流动性吗?

摘要：

随着越来越多的家庭参与到金融市场,金融是否能够弱化教育代际传递效应,从而改善教育的代际流动性?本文通过构建两期代际交叠模型,分析了家庭金融市场参与对教育代际流动性的影响,并基于中国家庭金融调查数据检验了理论模型的预测。结果表明,家庭金融市场参与显著降低了父代对子代教育的影响,教育代际流动性能够得到明显改善;并且,将家庭金融市场参与进一步分为金融资产和金融负债两个维度,发现持有金融负债对于提升教育代际流动性有更为重要的作用。这一系列的发现在考虑内生性、分样本回归、改变变量度量方式等情况下仍然稳健。据此,本文建议应积极推动普惠金融的发展,持续扩大金融服务的覆盖率和可获得性,并加强金融知识的普及与宣传。与此同时,全社会应为个体提供更多的教育机会。
