目前认为,上皮间质转化(epithelial-mesenchymal transition,EMT)程序性激活可使肿瘤细胞获得异常的活动能力,从而诱导循环肿瘤细胞(circulating tumor cells,CTCs)产生并存活,经过血液循环传播后,发生间质上皮转化(mesenchymal-epithelial transition,MET),最终形成继发性转移灶。鉴于EMT是诱导CTCs并促进肿瘤转移的一个关键因素,CTCs-EMT在预后诊断和靶向治疗方面正受到越来越多的关注。本文对有关EMT促进CTCs产生和生存,发生EMT的CTCs又通过MET促进CTCs形成肿瘤转移灶的研究进展进行综述,并讨论了检测CTCs-EMT表型的临床应用问题。
