摘要：
The paper presents examples illustrating how pesticides have benefited agriculture but at the same time have produced some harmful effects in humans and the environment.Evaluation of pesticide safety should be considered an essential aspect of the pesticide industry.The current status of pesticide safety evaluation in China is discussed.
