摘要：

既有研究大多强调住房不平等是职业不平等的结果,而住房不平等并未成为社会不平等研究的核心问题。本文基于中国经济发展特征指出,在中国经济模式下,住房不仅代表着独立于职业之外的生活机会,而且已经成为影响城市居民财富、社会地位的主要因素。本文以官方统计数据、代表性调查数据对此进行了检验,研究发现:从资源获得而言,基于住房获得的财富已经超过了职业收入;从主观认知而言,住房产权也成为城市居民社会地位获得与向上流动的基础。本文为"房住不炒"、促使住房回归居住属性的住房政策提供了实证基础。
