产品市场竞争与企业创新:一项准自然实验

摘要
本文以2003—2017年上市公司为研究对象,利用准自然实验的方法研究了产品市场竞争对企业创新的影响及其作用路径。通过研究发现,产品市场竞争程度的提高有利于促进企业创新,这种促进作用主要通过降低管理层与股东的代理冲突、提高管理层激励有效性以及提高企业信息透明度这三种路径实现。进一步地,在内部治理水平较高、市场化程度较高的企业以及竞争性企业中,产品市场竞争对企业创新的促进作用更加显著。
