摘要：

本文通过一个理论模型来分析自然条件以及行政等级对城市形成和发展的作用,并以中国19852010年地级以上城市为样本构建有序响应模型(Ologit)进行实证检验。结果表明:优越的自然条件、较高的行政等级能够促进城市规模的扩大;值得注意的是,在我国城镇化进程中,行政等级优势对城市人口规模的扩张有明显的促进作用。本文的研究一方面有助于理解改革开放以来我国城镇化的"政府主导+市场推动"模式,另一方面也从理论与实证上证明了宜居环境对城市发展的积极作用。
