20世纪初期美国对中国西藏地位的“双重承认”政策

摘要：

20世纪30年代前,是美国对中国西藏政策实施的初期阶段。此间,美国把对中国的门户开放政策逐步扩大到中国的西藏地区。美国对中国西藏门户开放政策的具体内容是:反对列强瓜分西藏,承认中国对西藏的主权统辖;与此同时,美国又“模糊承认”英国提出的中国对西藏的“宗主权”理论。美国对中国西藏地位这种“双重承认”的政策,使美国既没有得罪英国,又讨好了中国,从而使美国在中国西藏进一步扩大了影响。20世纪初期美国的西藏政策,反映了美国这一政策的实用主义原则和为其国家利益服务的本质。
