摘要
We present optical measurements on Fe1-xMnxSi revealing almost identical band structures in the whole series. The appearance of low-frequency features, possibly related to impurities, is confirmed. Hydrostatic pressure applied to FeSi causes an increase of the gap width. The suppression of long-range magnetic order for alloys near to MnSi at some critical value of pressure is accompanied by strong deviations from the expected Fermi-liquid behaviour.
