Ultrasonic study of the κ-(BEDT-TTF)2Cu[N(CN)2]Br organic superconductor

摘要
We report the temperature profile of the velocity of ultrasonic waves propagating perpendicularly to the organic layers in the superconductor kappa-(BEDT-TTF)(2)Cu[N(CN)(2)]Br (T-c, = 11.7K). A softening anomaly is observed at the superconducting transition temperature. This anomaly is discussed accordingly to the thermodynamical Ehrenfest relation and the existence of superconducting fluctuations.
