The Rink-isonitrile resin provides a new universal platform for Ugi multi-component reactions. Applications were demonstrated by the traceless synthesis of diketopiperazines, benzodiazepines, and 5-substituted 1H-tetrazoles. (C) 2002 Published by Elsevier Science Ltd.
