摘要
A study was conducted to demonstrate the formation and function of bismuth nanocatalysts for the solution-liquid-solid synthesis of CdSe nanowires. The study proposed a new method, to prepare Bi nanoparticles from Bi[N(SiMe 3)2]3, or BiCl3,using TOP as a reducing agent. The study also focused on demonstrating the way the Bi particle morphology evolves upon annealing in the presence and absence of the Cd and Se precursors. It also made an effort to show the way the diameter of the CdSe nanowires is dependent on the growth of Bi nanoparticles during the SLS process. Cd and dimethyl (Cd(Me)2) were used as precursors, to investigate the structural and optical properties of the evolving nanowires.
