The role of intrahepatic γδ-T cells for liver injury induced by Salmonella infection in mouse

摘要
Liver injury was induced after infection with Salmonella choleraesuis 31N-1. In T-cell receptor-delta knockout mice, serum alanine transferase level was significantly decreased in comparison with normal control mice after Salmonella infection. On the contrary, in vivo administration of anti-gamma delta T-cell receptor monoclonal antibody (UC7-13D5) to stimulate gamma delta-T cells in infected mice significantly increased serum alanine transferase level but decreased bacterial growth compared with infected mice given control antibody (UC8; hamster IgG), These data suggest that gamma delta-T cells have effector activities not only for protection but also for liver injury during Salmonella infection.
