摘要
This review considers reports of patients with disordered complex sound processing. This represents the processing of sound patterns in the spectral, temporal, intensity or spatial domain. Disordered processing of stimuli with particular acoustic structures may be manifest at a higher level as an apparent cognitive deficit, such as word deafness, amusia or environmental sound agnosia. The specific disorder will depend an the domain affected, and the region of that domain.
