Napthyl-substitute benzide derivative (NPB) was grown at room temperature on indium tin oxide (ITO), for two types of ITO surface morphology: spherical and atomic terraces. AFM images were taken in air immediately following the deposition. There was a striking difference between films grown on these two substrates. The ITO morphology significantly affected the final morphology of NPB films. Overall, smooth NPB films, easy to control and manufacture, were achieved using atomic terrace ITO.
