(Figure Presented) Bring in the substitute! Zn1-xCoxO nanowires are prepared by using a solution-based synthetic route. Structural, optical, and spectroscopic characterizations indicate that the cobalt atoms substitute the zinc cations in the host lattice as a result of the cobalt doping (the picture shows prepared Co-doped ZnO nanowires). © 2006 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
