摘要
A study was conducted to demonstrate the significance of functionalized DNA nanostructures. The unique features of DNA or of DNA/protein hybrids provided unique building blocks for the bottom-up assembly of nanoarchitectures that revealed programmed functionalities and properties, which emerged from the one-, two-, or three-dimensional ordering of the systems. These nanostructures were partially mimic cellular functionalities and served as scaffolds for the secondary templated synthesis of nanodevices. The scientific advances in the self-assembly of one-, two-, and three-dimensional ordered DNA-proteins or DNA-.nanoparticle nanostructures were also addressed in the study. The methods for the precise nanoscale spatial positioning of proteins or nanoparticles on the DNA scaffolds and the emerging properties of the programmed nanostrucutres were addressed along with their application for the templated synthesis of nanodevices.
