Synthesis and crystal structure of [U(eta-C5Me5)(2)(OC4H8)(2)][BPh4], the first cationic cyclopentadienyl compound of uranium(III)

摘要
The mixed amide complexes [U(NEt2)(2)(N{SiMe3}(2))(2)] and [U(eta-C8H8)(NEt2)(N{SiMe3}(2))] reacted in tetrahydrofuran (THF) with NEt3HBPh4 to give the cations [U(NEt2)(N{SiMe3}(2))(2)(THF)(x)](+) and [U(eta-C8H8)(N{SiMe3}(2))(THF)(x)](+). The bis(trimethylsilyl) amide complex [U(eta-C5Me5)(2)(N{SiMe3}(2))] was inert towards NEt3HBPh4 but its treatment with NH4BPh4 afforded the cationic uranium(III) compound [U(eta-C5Me5)(2)(THF)(2)][BPh4], the crystal structure of which has been determined.
