摘要：

As scientists investigate whether low levels of human pharmaceuticals in water have environmental effects, they are turning to their usual armada of experimental tests and assessments. However, the authors say that these tools may not accurately predict chronic effects for some compounds. They describe a different approach that incorporates a water-shed model and could be the basis of future studies. © 2006 American Chemical Society.
