Effective segregation coefficients: A comparison of axial solute distributions predicted by analytical boundary layer models and numerical calculations

摘要
Transient, axisymmetric numerical calculations of the heat and species transport including convection were performed for a simplified vertical Bridgman process with bottom seeding. The results for the axial dopant distribution in the crystal are compared with the predictions of analytical models based on boundary layer concepts.
