Synthesis and properties of poly [3-(ω-bromoalkyl)thiophene]

摘要
Bromine functionalized polymers, poly[3-(6-bromohexyl)thiophene] (PBrHT) and poly[3-(12-bromododecyl)thiophene] (PBrDT) were synthesized by FeCl3 oxidation of the corresponding monomers. Substitution of bromine by iodide in PBrHT resulted in poly[3-(6-iodohexyl)thiophene] with 97% of bromine displacement by iodide. Molecular weight, conductivity, NMR, UV-vis and fluorescence spectra of PBrHT and PBrDT were obtained.
