摘要
Palladium nanoparticles formed by the reduction of palladium(II) chloride with methanol or 2-propanol are stabilized by entrapment in solid heavily fluorinated compounds, as suggested by powder X-ray diffraction. Some of the stabilizers are fluorohydrocarbons without a functional group. Calculations suggest that minor amounts of Pd(II) on the surface of the nanoparticles might be the origin of attractive interactions with the negative periphery of perfluorinated chains (CnF2n+1). The role of sodium acetate in the precipitation of nanoparticles is underlined.
