Optimality conditions in power transactions in deregulated power pools

摘要
The objective of this paper is to analyze transactions in deregulated power systems. Transactions are defined by an Independent System Operator using bids offered by participants. We show that the optimum schedule (namely, cost minimization) from the Pool's perspective does not coincide with the optimum solution from the perspective of one particular participant. In the paper, two methods are compared for the definition of transactions in deregulated environments and results are shown for an example system. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Limited.
