摘要
A novel type of bio-barcode amplification assay that relies on the in situ detection of fluorophore-labeled barcodes attached to polystyrene microparticles was investigated. It was found that the new assay required only 90 mins to be carried out and without the need for enzymatic amplification or microarray analysis. The fluorophore-based bio-barcode amplification method simplifies the detection process by eliminating the array detection and barcode sorting method. The results show that the bio-barcode method offered a degree of detection simplicity when only a few targets are to be identified in a test sample.
