摘要
The mechanical behavior of a martensitic NiTi shape memory alloy (SMA) under very high strain rate compression was obtained and compared to its low rate deformation behavior. The alloy remained martensitic during compression at a strain rate of 3000 s-1. Stress-strain curve characteristics were insensitive to the deformation rate for changes in the strain rate as high as 107. The stabilization of the martensite after deformation appeared to be independent of the strain rate.
