Orientations to work - A cross-cultural approach

Responses to a hypothetical question relating to acquisition of wealth by inheritance were obtained from employees of two developing countries-Turkey (n = 287) and Cyprus (n = 359)-in an attempt to ferret out the motive for working. Comparative analysis of the results with those obtained earlier in 7 developed countries showed no significant difference in orientations to work between developed and developing countries.
