Neutron scattering study of structural change in relaxor Pb(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3

摘要
The structure of the relaxer Pb(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O-3 (PZN) was analyzed by neutron powder diffraction method. PZN has a disordered perovskite structure at a sufficiently high temperature, With decreasing temperature, the rhombohedral phase appears at a temperature higher than that of the maximum dielectric constant and grows gradually in the nonpolar cubic matrix but does not prevail on the whole crystal. The fact supports the idea that heterophase fluctuation plays an important role in the dielectric behavior of relaxors. (C) 1999 Published by Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
