摘要
This paper presents the hardware implementation of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) detection and monitoring system using microcontroller and android application. This system can effectively monitor the level of LPG in a room and transmits the data to the mobile device through 2.4 GHz ZigBee based bluetooth module. The MQ-6 LPG sensor is used for monitoring the LPG level and it transfers the data to ATmega16 microcontroller. It forwards this data to the mobile device (smartphone) of the user via HC-05 bluetooth module. The smartphone is loaded with an android application which has been specifically designed for this purpose. It displays the gas level in real time and additionally provides with the options to control the exhaust fan and electrical switch.
