摘要
In this paper, a merit order loading (MOL) method to solve the real-time economic dispatch (ED) problem with linear decreasing and staircase incremental cost (IC) functions for combined cycle (CC) units is proposed. To demonstrate its advantages, the proposed method is tested and compared with the unconstrained brute force (BF) and Newton methods on five combined cycle units. The proposed MOL approach is found to be fast and is independent of the number of generating units. This study resolves the present limitation of the existing real-time ED program at the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT). (C) 1999 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reserved.
