摘要
The first spectroelectrochemical observance of the superoxide ion-based chemiluminescence of a model compound of Cypridina luciferin in oxygen-containing acetonitrile solutions is reported. The luminescence is triggered by superoxide ion electrogenerated from O2 -. O2 - primarily functions as a proton acceptor to the Cypridina luciferin analogue to produce the analogue anion and HO2 ·. The subsequent reaction steps, which lead to the formation of a 1,2-dioxetane-like intermediate and to the emission of light, are discussed.
