Inhibition of auxin stimulated short-term elongation growth of pea stem segments by galactoglucomannan-derived oligosaccharides

摘要
Galactoglucomannan-derived oligosaccharides (GGMOs) were recognized as inhibitors of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D)-induced long-term elongation growth of pea and spruce stem segments. GGMOs (d.p. 4-8) have also been found to inhibit the 2,4-D, induced short-term elongation of pea stem segments. Their inhibition effect was detected within 2 h after the start of incubation, and a dependence of the GGMOs effect on the concentration of 2,4-D has been observed.
