摘要
(Chemical Equation Presented) The weak-link approach is used to synthesize a four-coordinate CuI complex for the chiral recognition of mandelic acid. The chelation through 2,2′-bipyridine in a reaction that concomitantly breaks weak Cu-S links and opens the condensed structure into a 27-membered macrocycle switches on the complex so it acts as an enantioselective fluorescent receptor. © 2006 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
