EXAFS study on temperature dependence of nearest neighbor distance in CuBr

摘要
Precise EXAFS (Extended X-ray Absorption Fine Structure) study of CuBr crystals, carried out in the temperature range from 300 to 631 K, leads to the fact that a potential minimum position for the nearest neighbor pairs of Cu and Br ions decreases monotonically. The mean interatomic distance, however, totally expands due to anharmonic vibrations with an increase in temperature. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
