摘要
A cochlear implant can correct the damage to the auditory system. This particularly true if the damage to the auditory system is peripheral. Present-day implants fall into either of three categories. Implants employ CIS, a spectral analysis strategy (SPEAK), or compressed analog stimulation (CA). Use of any of these implants can yield significant results. To obtain better results, current efforts are directed at developing specific implant designs that are more successful.
