摘要
A comprehensive medical assessment is needed to evaluate children with behaviors suggestive of ADHD. This assessment assists in confirming the diagnosis of ADHD or identifies other conditions that mimic it. The article discusses several approaches to an assessment, which typically includes a detailed history, a comprehensive physical examination, a functional neurodevelopmental assessment, and the performance of a selection of tests from a wide variety of biomedical procedures.
