摘要
The detailed mechanisms underlying telomere capping and its relationship to telomerase activity are still unclear, although many proteins have been implicated in either or both processes. In this issue of Cell, Downey et al. (2006) present the surprising identification of a new complex, called KEOPS, which promotes both telomere uncapping and elongation.
