General principles of wound healing

摘要
A good grasp of the fundamental physiology of healing results in a clearer understanding of the pathophysiologic processes that impair healing. This article reviews the biological bases of acute wound healing, illustrating the different phases of the immunologic cascade. Several new aspects of healing and clinical examples are presented.
