The strategy to generate new materials with enhanced or specific physical and chemical properties by synthetic modification of polymers was described. The new strategies for the generation of catalytically active metal nanoclusters and their utility as potent recyclable catalysts for various transformations. Gel permeation chromatography (GPC) was used to determine the molecular weight and chain length properties of functionalized polymers. The solvent tetrahydrofuran (THF) was found to show only 50% hydrosilylation even after long reaction periods.
