摘要
A study was conducted to investigate the behavior of composite semiconductor H2WO4·H2O/AgCl as a photoctalyst under the visible lights. The sample of composite semiconductor was prepared by the ion exchange reaction of Ag2WO4 and HCl. The study used powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern of the samples to determine the coexistence of H2WO4·H2O and AgCl. It was observed during the study that the conduction band (CB) and valence band (VB) of samples remain below the CB bottom and the VB top of AgCl. The study used a scanning electron microscopy (SEM) to determine the morphology of the samples. It was found that the composite semiconductor can be used as an efficient and stable photocatalyst under the visible lights.
