Laser heated pedestal growth and spectroscopic investigations of Nd3+-doped Gd2O3 single crystal fibres

摘要
We have grown by the laser heated pedestal growth (LHPG) technique neodymium doped Gd2O3 single crystal fibres. From room-temperature spectroscopic investigations we have determined the branching ratios of the fluorescences originating from the F-4(3/2) level. From liquid helium temperature investigations we have determined the existence of at least two Nd3+ sites or environments. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
