Characterization of fatty acids and triacylglycerols in vegetable oils by gas chromatography and statistical analysis

摘要
Fatty acids and triacylglycerols from Argania tree seeds (argania oil) were identified. Common fatty acids and triacylglycerols were quantified using gas chromatography on a capillary column. A frequent adulteration of some kinds of argania oil was determined using statistical methods. Hierarchical cluster analysis clearly distinguished between oil directly isolated from seeds and bought in a pharmacy, and oil bought in the grocer's shop. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V.
