(Figure Presented) Roll the Dy's: Two aggregates made up of dysprosium triangles (one example is shown) display a vanishing susceptibility at low temperature, unprecedented in systems comprising an odd number of unpaired electrons. Despite having a near non-magnetic ground state, behavior typical of a single-molecule magnet is observed for the thermally populated excited state. © 2006 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA.
