摘要：

An overview is given on two sol-gel routes for the preparation of small TiO2 monoliths containing 1 to 5% mol/mol of tungsten that acquire a deep blue coloration when exposed to solar light. The species giving rise to this color change are identified by diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS) and photothermal deflection spectroscopy (PDS).
