One-pot synthesis of CdTe nanocrystals and shape control of luminescent CdTe-cystine nanocomposites

摘要
A novel one-pot aqueous synthesis of highly fluorescent thiol-capped CdTe nanocrystals using sodium tellurite as the Te source was discussed. A series of CdTe nanocrystal composites with interesting 1D and 3D superstructures by incorporating the CdTe nanocrystals into locally created cystine matrices was obtained. It was found that the shape of the CdTe-cystinenanocomposites can be easily controlled without any template. The absorption value of the nanowires was shown to be much higher than that of the free CdTe nanocrystals because of the scattering of the cystine.
