The determination of pesticide residues and metabolites using supercritical fluid extraction

Supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) has become a promising alternative technique in the recent years for solid and semi-solid matrices, due to its advantages over classical solvent extraction (especially Soxhlet extraction). This paper briefly presents the strategy for the development of an SFE method, before reviewing the main results concerning pesticides and their metabolites in different matrices.
