Effects of prior cooling rates on Tg and sub-Tg heat flow transitions of cured epoxy resin

摘要
The relationship between the glass transition temperature (Tg) of unaged samples and cooling treatments from above Tg and the sub-Tg heat flow transition was studied. The disparity between original Tg and sub-Tg heat flow transitions was strongly influenced by the prior cooling rate. Sub-Tg heat flow transition was not observed when the cooling rate was lower than 20 °C/min. The original Tg was attributed to the motion of the internal stress relaxed molecular chain, while the sub-Tg heat flow transition was attributed to the motion of the internal stress unrelaxed molecular chain.
