Competition between shape anisotropy and magnetoelastic anisotropy in Ni nanowires electrodeposited within alumina templates

摘要
Ni nanowires were deposited into nanoporous alumina by pulse electrodeposition. The temperature dependent magnetic properties are analyzed in detail and a maximum of coercivity and anisotropy field is observed around room temperature which cannot simply be explained by shape anisotropy. A model is proposed which considers the competing magnetoelastic anisotropy originating from the difference in thermal expansion coefficient of the Al-substrate and the filled alumina template.
