摘要：

The recent increase in number of psychiatric epidemiological studies on the role of religion in late life depression suggests that its scientifical and clinical relevance is being re-evaluated. Most studies show that following religion is negatively associated with depression in later life, and represents an important source of coping for those in poor physical health.
