A simple approach to enhance the deposition of polyaniline films with self-assembled polyelectrolyte layers

摘要
The application of self-assembled monolayers (SAM) of polyelectrolytes to enhance the deposition of conducting polyaniline films prepared by polymerization was investigated. Quartz slides and polished silicon wafers were used as substrates for optical and morphological measurements. The thickness of the obtained film was obtained using absorption spectroscopy. The extent of deposition was found to depend on the type of polyelectrolyte used and the polymerization temperature. Adhesion of the films to the substrates was improved by electrostatic interaction and strong van der Waals force.
