Solution process for the synthesis of the "high-pressure'' phase CoMoO4 and X-ray single crystal resolution

摘要
A mild solution method was developed to grow single crystals of CoMoO4-II. The structure was solved by single crystal X-ray diffraction [P2/c, a = 4.6598(7) Angstrom, b = 5.6862(9) Angstrom, c = 4.9159(7) Angstrom, beta = 90.521(3)degrees, V = 130.25(3) Angstrom(3)] from 349 unique reflections [I greater than or equal to 2sigma(I)], R-1 = 0.0270 and wR(2) = 0.066. CoMoO4-II was characterised by scanning electron microscopy and its magnetic properties investigated.
